Vækstfonden is one of the largest investors in the Danish venture market, with total commitments of DKK 3.8 billion to 19 venture funds.  Vækstfonden has since 1992 financed growth in over 3,500 Danish companies for more than DKK 6.5 billion. Forskerparken CAT is a privately-held company, helping entrepreneurs and innovators to find the capital and the right competences required to turn ideas into enterprises. In the period from 1998 to 2006, 65 companies have been established by CAT. In that same period, investments in our portfolio companies to the tune of DKK 620 million in total have been made. Capital raised through the government-backed pre-seed capital scheme accounts for DKK 82 million and capital from private external investors accounts for 505 million, respectively.
